Andrew knew what he meant by that and half agreed. That day had changed his relationship with Peter.

He returned the hug before shrugging as he pulled away. "Good enough I suppose. You?"

"She left me." He mumbled quietly. Last time he'd seen Andy was before total meltdown had occurred with his relationship and she'd walked out on him.

He went into his pocket and took out the ring, smoothing the metal with his fingers.

"She's gone."

He frowned as he looked at the ring. "I'm sorry, Scott. You should've called."

"Didn't want to bother you." Said Scott, putting it back in his pocket. "You're a very busy man, little brother."

"Would've found time for you, plus you could've stayed at my place a couple days if you wanted too." Though his one bedroom apartment was a bit sorry compared to where his other brothers lived.

[ May have to leave, might be back not sure. ]

"I've got the house to myself." Mumbled Scott, closing his eyes for a second. "What about you? Got a girl somewhere?" He grinned. He used to tease his brother when he was in high school.

[N'aww. ]

He elbowed him lightly, "Sorta, but...it's complicated." He made a face as he thought of Alesia back at the hospital he worked for. She was a nurse.

[ Still here for the moment. ]

"Aww. You do realise, with the deepest sincerity, I thought you were gay for about five years." No joke, Scott actually had. Not that Scott was particularly observant.

He gave him a look, "You should know I hate you now and why the hell would you think that?"

[ Now I may be gone . Sorry, will try to be back at some point. ]

"Um... Because you seemed to be in a girl-repelling bubble when you were in high school. At least when I was looking." He smacked Andy upside the head, lightly. "Noob."

[ He is awesome. ]



"Hey, not all girls. 'member Sammi? She was my best friend and she was a girl."

[Almost as awesome as Damon. ]



"Best friend". Repeated Scott using air quotes. "As I said, girl repelling bubble."

He rolled his eyes, "Whatever."

"Aww. Ickle Andy's all offended." Scott ruffled Andy's hair. "Isn't he adowable."

"An adorable brother who may not save your life should you choke on something." He shot him a look as he backed out of Scott's touch.

"Hey, I'm the nice one." Said Scott rolling his eyes. "Anyway, what've you got Mom?"

"Sure you are..." Andrew shrugged, "A gift certificate to that one restaurant she always talks about. I wasn't sure what else to get her. What about you?"

"I'm taking her tonight." Scott giggled. "Great minds think alike. Are you going to come?"

He laughed, "Guess so and maybe. Might be nice."

"Will be. Trust me." Scott ran a hand through his thinning hair. "I've been doing so many strips lately..."

"How's that coming? People still enjoying your little stories?" Although he'd never tell anyone outside his brother, he had a stack of comics, strictly his brother's.
