Apocalypse.
The world has been dominated by zombies. Human life is dwindling and there are only a few left that aren't infected by this zombie virus. What happens when they are the only two who aren't infected, or at least think they are. Eden and Christopher have found a run down building that they are hiding out in. They have a small supply of food and the running water only works when it wants to.

Re: Apocalypse.
Eden's breath was caught in his throat. He was sure they weren't chasing him any longer, but he was scared beyond all belief. He stopped at a run down, rusty looking house, only because the small glint of light- of hope- shone bright.
"Shit, shit, shit," he mumbled, nearing the house with his gun gripped tight. He slowly pushed open the screen door, feeling like a cop when his paranoid head snapped at every sound. It almost sounded like someone doing dishes. He glared a bit, then inhaled sharply when he saw the back of a figure that stood there. Well, at least it was a fashionable zombie. He put his finger on the trigger, ready to shoot.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher kicked the water tank one last time. "Damn thing." He said then moved away from it and ended up by the dishes, fooling around with them. It sounded as if someone was behind him. He turned around slowly, a dish in his hand. He eyed the figure who pointed a gun at him. He threw his hands up and dropping the dish, "Whoa there."

Re: Apocalypse.
Eden pressed on the trigger, then the second he saw it was a potential living human, he pointed it upward, shooting a small hole through the roof. He groaned softly and dropped his gun. "Jesus! I could have killed you just then!" he yelled.
Eden couldn't help but smile a little, though. It was good to know he wasn't the only left.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher jumped a bit from the noise of the gunshot. He looked up to see the hole and frowned, "Seriously, I just fixed a hole yesterday." He groaned before looking back at the guy, seeing his smile for some reason made him smile. It had been too long since he's seen a human face.
"Okay, now that we've established we're not infected, perhaps we can offer names now." He said with a mad grin. He couldn't express how happy he was. Though, he would have preferred a woman any human was good enough for him at this moment. Being alone in this world can drive you insane. He walked to the guy and held out his hand, "Christopher. Christopher Reynolds." He said, introducing himself.
[Hey, I know my grammar isn't perfect but I want it to be. So please don't hesitate in letting me know. ]

Re: Apocalypse.
[Well, do questions. Do you want me to be a Nazi about it? And here or PM?]
Eden eyed him, then grabbed his gun again without shaking his head. "You're friendly..." he commented, a bit suspicious. Maybe he was simply friendly because he hadn't had human contact in ages. He didn't seem like he'd be the least bit friendly, not with his appearance.
"How do I know I can trust you?" he asked finally, his feet planted firmly where they were with no signs of moving away or toward Christopher.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher chuckled softly, "What choice do you have? You are the first human being who's not infected that I've seen in months." He said as he bent down to pick up the broken pieces. If the guy shot him, then shot him. Sure he'd prefer to live but at least he wouldn't die being an infected. He carefully picked up the pieces then placed them in the old, beaten up trash can. "You are more than welcome to stay here. I have food and sometimes running water. I've been able to build a water purifier. Thank goodness for my dad being a scientist." He said with a soft laugh.

Re: Apocalypse.
Eden nodded. Each word the boy said seemed to make sense. He sighed and sat himself on a dining room table chair- that creaked when he did. "Er... thanks," he answered finally and set his gun on the table. "Can I have some water, then?" he asked, smiling a bit up at the kid. His hands were shaking due to a lack of food and water (he'd been on the road) and the fact that zombies were chasing him.
He stood and found a light switch, slipping it down. "You'll wanna keep it off... Zombies can comprehend what light means and that there's living life there," he rambled on, sounding much like an out-of-breath scientist himself.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher stared at him for a moment before retrieving a bottled water for him. He had purified the water himself. When the light went out it spooked him a bit but he understood the reasoning behind it.
"I still didn't get your name," he said with a sideways smirk.

Re: Apocalypse.
"Uh, Eden," he said, taking a spot in the same chair as before. He took the bottle from him with a small nod and a 'thanks' before he uncapped it and downed half of it in one go.

Re: Apocalypse.
"Well Eden, it's nice to finally see a human who isn't infected." He said then opened the little box he had with food in it and pulled out some bread. He had to be hungry. He noticed his water was nearly gone. He placed the bread on a plate and handed it to him.
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden chuckled, but thankfully took the plate. He savoured the bread, though, forcing himself not to eat it too quick. The guy couldn't have had enough food to last them forever, after all.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher eyed Eden as he ate. He was still amazed to have another human such as himself in his presence.
"I have sleeping quarters in the back." He began to pace as he spoke to Eden. "And soon we'll need to make a food search. My supply is getting a bit low."
[Is it better now? ]

Re: Apocalypse.
Eden nodded. He stood, watching him as he paced. "Well... I don't go out at night. And, er... all right, I'll go with you."
He nodded once and grabbed his slice of bread. "Thanks," he said again and finished it.

Re: Apocalypse.
He smiled, "I'm sure you'd do the same if you were in my position." Christopher thought for a moment. Where could they search for food? "We should wait for daylight. It's easier to spot the infected."
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden nodded. That was precisely the reason he didn't go out at night. It was just a better chance of survival.
He took the plate and sat it in the sink with a small sigh. His life had gone down the tubes within near a month.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher watched him with careful eyes. A fall in this old place could be deadly. He was grateful that Eden knew manners enough to put his plate away. Not that he cared, it was just a nice thought. "Shall I show you the sleep quarters?"
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden laughed and nodded, following behind him. "You talk like a robot. You always like that?"

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher lead the way to the sleeping quarters. He laughed at his ask, "Not having human contact did it to me."
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden nodded, guessing the town he was in was probably one of the first affected. He closed his eyes momentarily and followed him to where he would lead him.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher walked into the room, which he deemed the sleeping quarters, motioning his arm to show the room, "Welcome to the sleeping quarters."
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden gave a small nod and looked around the room, chuckling. "You've got it all figured out, then, huh?"

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher laughed, "I sure hope so." He walked further into the room, "This is my bed," he said pointing to the left. "You can have that one." He pointed to the bed on the right.
Re: Apocalypse.
Eden gave a small smile, nodded, and laid on it. He let out an exhausted breath, grinning like a fool. He finally got to sleep in a bed.

Re: Apocalypse.
Christopher followed suit and laid on his own bed. "It took me weeks to find these. Not exactly sure why I got the other one, perhaps I've always hoped someone would come along." He sighed and closed his eyes momentarily.
