Eden turned on his side and looked at Christopher. "Well... Aren't I glad you did," he chuckled. He wanted to go to sleep, to try at least, but he had to have protection.

He hopped up and went back into the living room, grabbing his gun, then finding his way back to the beds. "Gotta... have it," he said with a small chuckle, then slid it under his pillow.

Christopher chuckled softly, "I know what you mean." He grabbed behind him pulling out his gun then placing it underneath his pillow as well. He realized he didn't do a perimeter check and barricade all the entrances. He sat up, "I need to make sure everything is locked down."

Eden let out a soft sigh and nodded, standing up with him. "I'll help," he suggested. "Er... been living out of my car, so, just tell me what to do."

Christopher gave a soft nod, "Well there is five entrances to this place. One of which is a big whole in the side. Which let me tell you was a pain in the ass to barricade." He laughed then lead them to each of the entrances he spoke of.

Eden chuckled and nodded, following. "Well, this hole... should probably stay barricaded, yano..." He smirked, only giving him a hard time.

Christopher laughed, "You know, I thought I'd leave it open, let a few infected in." He checked to make sure the barricade was secured. Then moved on to the next one.

Christopher lead him over to the last entrance. "I had a break in of infected through this door the other night. We'll need to secure it better. Grab a few pieces of wood and bring it over here," he directed.

Eden raised an eyebrow, then looked around, doing a full 360 to look for wood. He glanced back at Christopher before going to where he saw it and did as he was told, handing it silently to him.

Christopher took the wood and placed them securely, barricading the entrance more. "Hand me those nails and that hammer." He pointed to the corner to the right.

Eden gulped and nodded, smiling a bit. He wasn't worried about the front door. As long as it was locked, the zombies couldn't get in. Dim creatures, they were- speedy, but dim.

He reached over for the nails and hammer and began to secure the boards to the opening. It was easier if Christopher held and he nailed anyway.

[:🤦 That sounded dirty.]

Eden finished, using a total of ten nails. He smiled and grinned up at him. "Hopefully. Don't exactly wanna die," he said with a smirk up at him and handed him the hammer.

Eden's eyes softened as he looked across at Christopher. He smiled softly as he watched him. He was gorgeous...

Eden shook his head, closing his eyes. It was just the fact that he hadn't gotten laid in so long.

Christopher couldn't keep himself from thinking how good looking Eden was. But he knew this only because he hasn't seen a woman in so long. His hormones are haywire now. He rolled over and tried to push the thought away from him.

Eden gulped and played with a lose string on the bed. He was beginning to think of other reasons he couldn't sleep, and they all fit together. Perhaps, paranoia- he had quite a bit of it, after all. And maybe shock- Everyone he knew and even who he didn't know (casting aside Christopher), were all zombies, something he only thought you'd ever see in films.

So maybe it wasn't just the fact that he was sleeping in a car all the time.

Christopher rolled over again. Was it bad that was attracted to a man? He shook his head softly. Perhaps it was just happiness that another human, like himself, found him. That had to be it.

Eden stare up at the ceiling. He didn't picture himself sleeping any time soon. So, assuming the other boy was asleep, he quietly stood and padded, clad in socks and holding tight his gun, down to the kitchen.

He could get a glass of water, right? Or at least try. He remembered Christopher saying something about a purifier and wasn't sure where that was or how it worked, but he wouldn't mind just plain tap. He bit his lip, then pulled away from the tap. It could be infected just as easily. In fact, that was one of the possibilities they announced.

Christopher watched him walk of the room. A sudden urge made him follow after him quietly. He watched him carefully as he leaned up against the door frame. "I wouldn't drink that if I were you without purifying it," he said as he took in the sight of Eden. He was damn gorgeous and there was nothing he could do to deny it.

He smiled and walked over, "Of course. It's fairly simple you see," he said walking over to the purifier. He simply lifted a lever on a barrel. "This is what starts the purifier." He instructed. He then pointed to a faucet type object, "This is where the purified water will come from." He smiled at Eden taking in his scent, damn it, he cursed mentally. Maybe just a kiss would set him straight, another thought escaped his mind. He mentally shook his head.

Eden, nodded, staring at the tap. He was quite confused, but gave it a go. "So, if I just..." he began, flipping up a small handle and putting a cup under the end of the tap. He cursed, then put it under the right end, smiling a bit as the water emptied into his cup.
